Hotel Tacoma 2017
We recently were lucky enough to be involved in Hotel Tacoma, a yearly event hosted by Toyota. They invited a group of badass outdoor athletes, adventurers and influencers to play for the weekend in the beautiful Oregon Pacific Northwest.
Oceans, beach, forests, dune and lakes provided the playground for activities ranging from mini dirt bike races, off-road exploring, paragliding, zorbing, fly-fishing and surfing just to name a few. Oh- and driving the new Toyota Tacoma of course!!!
Rustic cabins at Camp Meriwether, an old school boy scout camp were given the 5 star treatment to turn them in luxe glamping cottages with real beds, cozy duvets, bathrobes and morning coffee deliveries.
Camp food was taken up (many) notches by talented chefs Nate Tilden and Carlo Lamanga of Clyde Common in Portland. Watch this video below to learn more about their work and for some seriously mouthwatering shots (as well as a few photo bombs by the nordic tents and our tables).
The entire event had a distinct Pacific Northwest theme from the décor to the food. Our nordic tents constructed in the milky way configuration filled with our rustic tables and starry lights provide a central gathering area, complete with a Stumptown Coffee bar manned by talented baristas and all round good peeps Bo and Emily. After all, staying caffeinated is essential if you are going to try all those activities!! The dining hall at the big lodge was transformed into a luxe cabin oasis with greenery and tealight votives hanging from the ceiling whilst our tables were dressed with vintage candlesticks and ferns. Our sheepskins draped over the benches added the perfect finishing touch and kept guests toasty after a day outdoors.
The weekend was a huge success thanks to the amazing planning by Field Scout who were hired by Saatchi and Saatchi to bring their vision to life. Check out this other video for more awesome shots of the weekend and the nordic tents!
